Though the G1 is not shipping yet Olympus has announced firmware compatibility updates for -
25mm pancakes, 35mm Micro, 14-42mm, 35-100m, and 40-150mm lenses.

**Personally I don't think that I would run the 35-100mm on the G1, nor do I regularly run it on the E-420, but to have the ability is very nice in my opinion. **
