Free FL-50R Flash from Olympus with the purchase of the E-3 -UK

Hello everyone,

It does not happen very often someone is giving away an expensive accessory. I just had an e-mail from Olympus, stating that they will give away a free FL-50R flash with the purchase of the new E-3 camera, valid from 1 June until 31 August 2008.

Please read the full article here:

I don't know if this offer is valid in the US as well though...

Think Tank Photo - Photokina Drawing

Party with Think Tank Photo at photokina!

Have tested three SWD Zooms

I have finished testing the three zooms with the ultrasonic (SWD) focus motor

14-35mm f/2 ED SWD, 12-60mm f/2.8-4 ED SWD and 50-200mm f/2.8-3.5 ED SWD; to be published in Shutterbug magazine in the late fall of 2008.

A few comments in the meantime.

14-35mm f/2: includes an ED (extra low dispersion) element and two aspherical elements to correct aberrations as well as distortion. Overall build quality should satisfy even professional photojournalists who tend to subject their equipment to a lot of abuse.

E-520 Gallery

Ok, So I have version 1.0 of the E-520, finally. Right now for the next week or so I will also have a L-10, not really enough time to do a full review of the L-10. But I will at least post some thoughts about it later.
First a note about images. Since my images keep showing up else where I decided that all images on the web will be watermarked. Which I really don't like, but that is life.
On all the test's I have used as close to the same settings as possible between cameras. However it isn't quite the same.
+1 sharpening on the E-520 is sharper than that on the E-3.
