G1 User Review

I had the G1 for a little less than a week, but because of the great interest in this camera, I thought I would stop the E-30 review to put together some thoughts on the G-1.

Micro 4/3 Adaptors and other news this week -
17 Dec 2008Imaging Info today announced Leica R adaptors for micro 4/3rds cameras. Plus others are coming soon.
Panasonic announced a G1 update see this thread for info.
As well as Lightroom 2.2 and ACR 5.2 are available now and read G1 files.
Nearly 7 Days with the E-30...

I am working as hard as possible to try to get some what a in depth review on the E-30 up. But for now here is what I have put together.

Panasonic DMC-G1
12 Dec 2008I got in the mail for the next week the G1. Its a nice little camera, tomorrow I am going to ditch working, and play with the G1 and the E-30.
But for now a few photos -

Olympus E-30 in my hands
06 Dec 2008Olympus sent me the E-30 to play with today.
(A month earlier than I expected BTW)
I got it from the UPS man at 3:30, so since it starts getting dark at 4:00 I didn't have much time to take it out. I will try to spend some time with the E-30 tomorrow, and really at this early stage like alway no RAW developers support the E-30, but perhaps Studio, but I will try that later.
First impressions- (I have only taken like 10 pictures with it - So a lot more by Monday)

I have not tried the unit but it looks like an affordable alternative for a Macro flash system.
